The Russian army has recorded cases of explosions of FPV goggles when they are used by drone pilots. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is behind the special operation.

Sources in the intelligence services told “Suspilne” that the explosives were embedded inside the goggles, which were handed over to the Russian military by volunteers. For this purpose, a large batch of devices was purchased, which were additionally equipped with a remote detonation mechanism by the GUR specialists. After that, in coordination with Ukrainian intelligence, the glasses were delivered to Russian army units as “charity”.

“Over time, there will be much more such facts, because now they are making glasses with a surprise for the Russian occupiers not only in the Ukrainian Carpathians, but also in Russian Siberia,” intelligence sources say.

Earlier, on February 18, Russian propaganda Telegram channels reported a series of explosions of FPV goggles in various units of the Russian Armed Forces. The first case occurred on February 4 in the Belgorod region, where a Russian soldier suffered injuries to his face and eyes. Later, explosions were recorded in Kursk, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.

According to Russian sources, in January-February, volunteer organizations handed over about 80 Skyzone Cobra FPV goggles to the military from a single supplier who fled Russia on a Moscow-Istanbul flight on February 3.
