Ukraine will continue launching long-range drone strikes against Russian energy facilities despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s diesel fuel deal with Vladimir Putin. The agreement has sparked frustration and anger in Kyiv, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has described the American leader’s decision as “weak.”
This was reported by Christopher Miller, The Financial Times’ Kyiv correspondent, in a post on X.
“There’s frustration and anger in Kyiv over Trump’s diesel deal with Putin. Zelenskyy is sharply criticizing Trump, calling the move ‘weak,'” the journalist wrote.
According to Miller, a senior Ukrainian official confirmed that Kyiv has no intention of abandoning attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure.
“We will burn their oil refineries,” the Financial Times source said.
As the journalist noted, Ukraine intends to continue using long-range drones to strike energy facilities inside Russia. Despite the agreement between Washington and Moscow, Kyiv does not plan to halt these attacks.
