The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed strikes on key targets in the Russian Federation and in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories as part of efforts to reduce the enemy’s offensive potential.
According to the General Staff, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck facilities of the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Russia’s Yaroslavl region. It is one of the occupiers’ largest refineries, capable of processing up to 15 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate annually and involved in supplying fuel to Russia’s armed forces.
Explosions and a large fire were recorded in the target area. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
In addition, to further reduce the enemy’s offensive capabilities, an ammunition depot near the village of Avdiivske (formerly Pervomaiske) was hit, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower in the areas of Myrnohrad and Rodynske in Donetsk region. Enemy losses are being уточнені.
The General Staff emphasized that Ukraine’s Defense Forces will continue taking measures to undermine the offensive potential of Russian invaders and compel the Russian Federation to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.
