“The most important issue is strengthening our defense and obtaining licenses from the United States for the production of air defense systems,” Zelenskyy said.

The leaders also discussed expanding contributions to the PURL program. Zelenskyy stressed that the initiative plays an important role in protecting Ukrainian lives and that deliveries of anti-ballistic missiles should be carried out as quickly as possible.

The president thanked Mark Rutte for the invitation to the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara and said Ukraine would work to ensure the event delivers practical results for strengthening the country’s defense.

Earlier, Zelenskyy also reported holding a coordination call with US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron. According to him, the leaders reviewed the outcomes of the G7 summit and discussed further steps to strengthen Ukraine and advance diplomatic efforts toward peace.

In addition, Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels to take part in a series of international meetings, including a Ramstein-format gathering, talks with defense ministers of partner countries, and a meeting of the European Council.
