        Warehouses and Possibly a Thermal Power Plant Catch Fire After Strike on Belgorod

        A strike hit the Russian city of Belgorod on the afternoon of August 30, causing several fires. Local authorities reported casualties, but did not specify how many people were injured.

        This was reported by acting Belgorod region governor Alexander Shuvaev, as well as local Telegram channels.

        According to Shuvaev, several fires were reported following the impact of munitions. Emergency services were dispatched to the affected sites.

        The Telegram channel Pepel Belgorod claims that the city was hit by a missile strike. According to the channel, a fire broke out at the Belgorod thermal power plant.

        A fire was also reported at warehouses leased by the Ozon marketplace.

        The Telegram channel Exilenova+ also reported fires at warehouse facilities following the missile strike.

        There has been no official confirmation so far that the Belgorod thermal power plant was hit.
