Ukrainian intelligence has obtained information that Russia is preparing new ballistic missile strikes against Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for additional interceptor missiles, particularly for Patriot air defense systems, and urged Ukraine’s partners to make the necessary decisions.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the remarks in his evening video address on October 29.
“We now have intelligence indicating that the Russians are preparing new ballistic missile strikes. We need the means to shoot down all this Russian evil. We are waiting for the necessary decisions,” the president said.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine needs additional supplies of interceptor missiles, particularly for Patriot air defense systems.
The president also reported the destruction of two Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers and a strike on an Iskander tactical ballistic missile launcher.
“We carried out two missile strikes, destroyed two Russian Su-34s, and also hit an Iskander launcher. Thank you, guys, for the result!” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Navy reported the destruction of two Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers in a Neptune missile strike on the Marinovka military airfield in Russia’s Volgograd region.
