Apple may open pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro on Saturday, September 12, at midnight Pacific Time. The company usually begins accepting orders on Fridays at 5 a.m. PT.

This was reported by MacRumors, citing German publication Macwelt.

Apple’s annual presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9. Under the company’s usual timetable, pre-orders would begin on Friday, September 11, followed by the retail launch one week later.

However, the source claims Apple will postpone the start of pre-orders until Saturday, September 12. The change may be connected to the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States. Apple made a similar decision in 2015, when pre-orders for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus opened on September 12 instead of September 11.

The time of day may also change. Pre-orders are expected to open at midnight PT, which corresponds to approximately 10 a.m. in Kyiv.

The revised schedule will likely apply to the iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and other hardware unveiled at the event. Pre-orders for Apple’s first foldable iPhone may begin later, potentially in late September.

Apple has not officially announced the pre-order date or time. MacRumors also noted that Macwelt’s earlier prediction regarding the iPhone 17e announcement proved inaccurate.
