        Zelenskyy arrives in Vilnius for events marking the January Uprising anniversary

        Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska have arrived in Vilnius to take part in events marking the anniversary of the January Uprising. During the visit, the head of state will hold a series of international meetings.

        Presidential spokesperson Serhii Nykyforov said that in Vilnius, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with the presidents of Lithuania and Poland, Gitanas Nauseda and Karol Nawrocki, in the Lublin Triangle format. A joint press conference is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Kyiv time following the meeting.

        The presidents will also jointly participate in ceremonial events marking the 163rd anniversary of the January Uprising, an armed uprising of the peoples of the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth against Russian autocracy.

        The January Uprising took place under the slogan “For our and your freedom” and is a shared historical experience of the Polish, Lithuanian, Belarusian and Ukrainian peoples.
