President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has released a new video of an interrogation of a North Korean soldier. In the video, the prisoner told how he got to Russia and shared his limited knowledge of the world outside North Korea.

According to the prisoner, he and more than 100 other soldiers were brought to Russia on a cargo ferry. He did not receive training on Russian equipment, although he noted that some North Korean soldiers were taught to do so.

The soldier said that he joined the army at the age of 17 and served in a reconnaissance battalion on conscript duty. He claims that his mother does not even know about his whereabouts.

The prisoner also stated that he did not know he was going to war and was not aware of who he would be fighting against.

His knowledge of the world outside the DPRK was limited. For example, he knew only that South Korea had “fewer mountains” than North Korea.

On January 11, Ukrainian defenders in the Kursk region capture two North Korean soldiers, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announces.

“Our soldiers captured North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. These are two soldiers who, although wounded, survived. They were taken to Kyiv, where they are talking to SBU investigators,” Zelensky said.
