President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that elections in Ukraine will be held after the end of the war and the lifting of martial law, and assured that they will not be deliberately postponed.

‘No one will deliberately postpone anything,’ he said during a conversation with journalists on 12 March.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine should now focus on achieving silence at the front. According to him, Kyiv is ready for this, but technical assistance from partners is needed, and this issue has already been discussed.

The President also confirmed that a step-by-step plan for ending the war with security guarantees for Ukraine should be developed within the 30-day truce proposed by the United States. ‘If this plan is prepared and implemented in stages, it will lead to the end of the war,’ Zelenskyy added.
