A statement by Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said the agency is grateful to all foreign diplomatic missions and diplomats who continue working in Ukraine during the war and “reject Russian blackmail and threats.”

The ministry recalled that for more than four years and three months, Russia has been using against Kyiv “the full spectrum of deadly missiles and drones,” while the strikes “have not stopped for virtually a single week.”

“According to the Ukrainian side’s assessment, the overall level of security threats posed by Russia to Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities remains the same as in previous years and months,” the Foreign Ministry stated.

The ministry stressed that against this backdrop, the new Russian statements are “nothing but shameless blackmail.”

“Moscow is effectively admitting that its shelling is aimed, among other things, at intimidating the foreign diplomatic corps. This testimony will become valuable evidence in international legal proceedings against the aggressor state,” the ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry also said it is ready to assist with additional security measures for foreign diplomatic missions if they submit such requests.

The statement also emphasized that the best response to Kremlin threats should be increased international pressure on Russia and stronger support for Ukraine, including reinforcing air defense capabilities.

“Moscow must receive the right and consolidated signals from the international community: unity, strength, and principled resolve,” Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry concluded.
