Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina confidently advanced to the semifinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid, easily defeating Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima with a score of 6:2, 6:1. The match lasted less than an hour.

Elina Svitolina, who is currently ranked 17th in the WTA rankings, defeated Japanese athlete Moyuka Uchijima (No. 56 WTA) with a score of 6:2, 6:1. The match was the second in their history, and both times the victory went to the Ukrainian.
The match lasted only 54 minutes. Svitolina confidently controlled the game, scoring four aces and not making a single double fault. This victory was her eleventh in a row, and she has not lost a single set in any of these matches.
In the previous round, Svitolina defeated Maria Sakkari (No. 82 WTA) from Greece. This is the Ukrainian’s 22nd quarterfinal in WTA 1000 tournaments and her fifth on clay. In the semifinals, she will face the winner of the match between Marta Kostyuk and Aryna Sabalenka.
The Mutua Madrid Open is taking place from April 22 to May 4. The prize fund is $8,963,700.
