As of 16:00 on March 1, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to repel the Russian offensive. A total of 57 combat engagements have been recorded today.
Russian forces persist in attacking Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, air, and artillery strikes. Artillery and mortar fire targeted the settlements of Brantsivka, Bratenytsia, and Hirky in Sumy region; Mkhy, Halahanivka, and Mykolaivka in Chernihiv region; and Tymofiivka in Kharkiv region. The enemy also launched airstrikes using guided bombs on Okhrimivka, Makarove, and Hraniv in Kharkiv region.
- On the Kupiansk axis, two battles are ongoing, with the enemy having attacked three times near Novoosynove and Zahryzove.
- On the Lyman axis, Russian forces have launched six attacks near Novyi and Novomykhailivka, with four battles still ongoing. Borova and Bohuslavka came under airstrikes.
- On the Toretsk axis, 10 combat clashes have taken place near Krymske, Dachne, Toretsk, and Dyliivka, with one battle still ongoing. Russian aviation struck Kostiantynivka and Toretsk.
- On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy attempted to push Ukrainian defenders back 15 times near Nova Poltavka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Pokrovsk, Pishchane, Udachne, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Andriivka, and Ulakly. Ukrainian forces repelled 13 attacks, while two clashes are still underway. The occupiers also carried out airstrikes on Novopavlivka and Novoukrainka.
- On the Novopavlivsk axis, Russian forces launched five attacks near Kostiantynopol and Skudne.
- On the Huliaipole axis, Ukrainian troops repelled three assaults near Pryvilne and Charivne. Ternove, Huliaipole, and Zaliznychne suffered airstrikes.
- On the Orikhiv axis, three combat clashes occurred. One attack was repelled, while the enemy is trying to advance near Piatykhatky and Kamianske with air support.
- On the Prydniprovske axis, one battle is ongoing.
- On the Kursk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy attacks, while two battles continue. The invaders also carried out 14 airstrikes, dropping 17 guided bombs, and conducted 210 artillery shellings.
No active offensive actions were recorded on the Kharkiv, Siversk, or Kramatorsk axes. The situation remains unchanged on the other frontlines.
