        Russia continues attacks despite “Easter ceasefire”: 55 combat clashes recorded since the start of the day

        Russian forces continue active combat operations despite the declared “Easter ceasefire.” As of 16:00 on April 12, 55 combat clashes have been recorded since the beginning of the day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

        The aggressor is shelling border areas, particularly in the Sumy region where the settlements of Tovstodubove, Iskryskivshchyna and Bachivsk came under fire. In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out nine shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.

        In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, seven attempts of offensive actions were recorded in the areas of Synelnykove, Starytsia, Izbytske and Vovchansk, with one battle still ongoing. In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attacked twice near Petropavlivka and Podoly, with one attack still in progress.

        In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces are repelling two attempts of enemy advance, while in the Sloviansk direction four attacks were recorded towards Ozerne, Kalenyky and Rai-Oleksandrivka. In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers carried out one attack near Markove.

        The heaviest activity is observed in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions. Near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka and Kucheriv Yar, 11 attacks were recorded, one of which is ongoing. In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 14 assaults in several areas, with one battle still continuing.

        In the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers attacked Ukrainian positions five times, while in the Huliaipole direction nine attacks took place near Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Myrne, Varvarivka and Huliaipilske.

        At the same time, no assault actions were recorded in the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske directions, and the situation has not significantly changed in other sectors.

        Ukrainian forces continue to wear down the enemy along the entire frontline and in the rear.
