        Russia attacks Kharkiv region with guided bombs and drones: one killed, more than 20 injured

        Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on Kharkiv and the Kupiansk district on October 2. In Kharkiv, one person was killed and 17 others were injured in guided aerial bomb attacks, while three people in the Kupiansk district suffered acute stress reactions.

        This was reported by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov and the Kharkiv Regional State Emergency Service.

        In Kharkiv, Russian guided aerial bombs struck the Slobidskyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts.

        In the Slobidskyi district, an impact was recorded between private houses. Around 10 households, office buildings, an educational institution and at least six vehicles were damaged.

        In the Nemyshlianskyi district, a guided bomb hit a private house. Around 10 nearby houses were also damaged.

        As a result of the attack, one person was killed and 17 others were injured. Among them was a boy. One of the injured, a 48-year-old man, was undergoing surgery.

        Later, Russian forces also attacked the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv with a drone. A vehicle caught fire at the strike site. No information about casualties was reported.

        Drones attacked residential buildings in the Kupiansk district

        In the settlement of Shevchenkove in the Kupiansk district, Russian forces repeatedly attacked residential areas with strike drones throughout the day.

        As a result of a morning strike on a two-story apartment building, three residents suffered acute stress reactions.

        A fire covering 150 square meters also broke out — wooden roof structures, windows and balconies were burning.

        Later, a second strike hit the ground at the same location, damaging an emergency medical vehicle.

        Around noon, Russian forces carried out another strike. A drone hit another two-story residential building, where four apartments and the roof caught fire. The total fire area reached 800 square meters.

        Rescuers, medics and law enforcement officers worked at the sites of the attacks.
