Russian forces attacked several regions of Ukraine overnight on November 1, causing widespread power outages, fires and damage to civilian infrastructure. Ten people were injured in the Sumy and Rivne regions, nearly 100,000 consumers were left without electricity in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and more than 650 settlements lost power in the Zhytomyr region.

According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy, as of the morning of November 1, Russian strikes on energy infrastructure had left some consumers without electricity in the Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions.
In the Zhytomyr region, Russian forces targeted energy infrastructure facilities. According to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, more than 650 settlements were left without electricity. No reports of deaths or injuries had been received.
Power supplies were also disrupted in Zviahel due to damage to electrical networks. The city council said repair crews were working to restore electricity, with restoration tentatively expected by 5:00 p.m. on November 1.
The situation remains difficult in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, electricity has already been restored to almost all consumers in the Dnipro, Kamianske and Pavlohrad districts who lost power following previous attacks. Water supplies have been fully restored in the city of Dnipro.
However, fresh overnight strikes on energy infrastructure caused further power outages. Nearly 100,000 consumers remain without electricity in the Dnipro, Pavlohrad and Samar districts. More than 70 emergency repair teams have been deployed to restore power.
