Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, call sign “Magyar,” urged Ukrainians not to rely on expectations of a swift ceasefire or peace. According to him, Russia is instead escalating and using the current capabilities of attack drones to strike Ukraine’s rear areas.
The statement was made by Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert Brovdi “Magyar.”
According to him, Ukrainian society is now being sold the illusion of a quick ceasefire at the very moment when Russia is increasing pressure and threats.
“Putin is definitely not about peace. He wants blood, to the point of completely destroying us,” Brovdi said.
The Unmanned Systems Forces commander said Russia is currently exploiting what he called a “jet-Shahed window of opportunity” and concentrating its strikes on Ukraine’s rear areas. At the same time, in his assessment, the Russian army has achieved few significant successes on the battlefield throughout 2026.
Brovdi stressed that Ukraine must be guided by rational analysis of the situation rather than expectations of a swift end to the war.
According to him, the Defense Forces are already working on countermeasures against the enemy’s new capabilities, including rearmament. However, this will require time, and the timeframe depends on a number of factors.
“The front is difficult, the worm keeps pushing and will keep pushing, but it is being destroyed at an increasing rate,” the commander said.
He added that the Ukrainian army has hardened over the years of war and that society must also be prepared for a prolonged confrontation.
“Do not believe in illusions and miracles – we must rely on our own strength and on one another. That is the only way we will preserve our statehood and our Motherland,” Brovdi wrote.
In closing, the Unmanned Systems Forces commander said the “shed under a white flag” being offered to Ukraine would not provide security and could be burned down at the first opportunity.
“We will stand. Moscow will fall,” Magyar concluded.
