Due to the war in Iran, there are risks to weapons supplies to Ukraine. At the same time, Kyiv’s partners are working to mitigate these threats.
This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to him, Germany, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden are discussing with Ukraine how to ensure the country’s resilience during the spring and summer period.
The president stressed that at both political and military levels, daily work is underway with partners to strengthen air defense. Ukraine is specifically seeking opportunities to obtain anti-ballistic systems.
Zelenskyy also said Ukraine is moving toward establishing joint production of air defense systems with partners — including systems, missiles and other components. He described this as a strategic task that would guarantee protection for decades.
Among key security guarantees, Ukraine considers weapons packages, the ability to produce necessary arms, licensing, and the development of an industrial base.
