The body of a man has been found under the rubble of a five-storey residential building in Lviv that was damaged in a Russian missile strike. Search-and-rescue operations at the site are continuing.
This was reported by Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
“Unfortunately, the body of a man was found under the rubble of the five-storey building in Lviv that was hit by the missile strike. My condolences to his family,” Kozytskyi wrote.
No information about the victim’s identity has been released so far.
What is known about the missile strike on Lviv
Russian forces attacked Lviv with cruise missiles on the morning of July 30. Two residential buildings on Patona and Vyhovskoho streets sustained the heaviest damage.
More than 20 residential buildings, a school and two kindergartens were damaged in the strike. According to regional authorities, the number of injured rose to 34, with some of them taken to hospital. Children were among those injured.
Earlier, rescuers pulled a 93-year-old woman from the rubble of the five-storey building. Several people were reported missing after the attack.

Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia used 74 missiles and 284 drones of various types against Ukraine overnight on July 30. The Kyiv and Lviv regions were among the main targets.
Search-and-rescue operations in Lviv are continuing. Emergency crews are dismantling damaged structures and checking whether anyone else remains trapped under the rubble.
