The infrastructure of the Port of Taman was also hit. A large-scale fire broke out at the facility.

In addition, the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery was struck. It is one of Russia’s largest oil refining facilities, with a capacity of about 15 million tonnes of oil per year.

The plant produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel. The SBU said the operation was conducted to reduce Russia’s military potential and that such strikes would continue.
