On March 2, a Russian drone struck a nine-story residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. Three people were injured in the strike, including two children.
This was reported by the mayor, Igor Terekhov.
The Molniya drone hit an apartment on the eighth floor. No one was in the apartment at the time of the strike.
“The consequences are very serious. The balcony and partitions were damaged, and windows were broken throughout the entire stairwell. In addition, a neighboring high-rise residential building was damaged. Three people were injured, including two children. The enemy is doing everything to prevent us from living a normal life,” the mayor said.
Among the victims were a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, who was diagnosed with barotrauma. An 80-year-old woman and a nine-year-old girl also suffered acute stress reactions.
An investigative team, forensic experts, and police bomb disposal experts worked at the scene. A criminal case has been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes).
