Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces had achieved “important results” on the Lyman axis as part of Operation “Vivaldi” and another active-defense operation involving the Air Assault Forces grouping. According to him, over the past week Ukrainian units neutralized 10,660 Russian troops killed and wounded across all sectors of active combat.
Zelenskyy said this following a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi.
The president said that on the Lyman axis “the destruction of the occupier continues” and that the designated objectives are being achieved.
According to Zelenskyy, every recorded Russian loss is backed by video evidence.
He said the most intense fighting is currently taking place on the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and Lyman axes. Ukrainian forces are also carrying out missions in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
Zelenskyy separately praised the troops of the 3rd Army Corps and the 68th Separate Air Assault Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush of the 8th Air Assault Forces Corps.
The president also said that together with the Commander-in-Chief, he had determined the next active steps for Ukrainian forces.
