The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) reported that around 3 a.m., prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General, accompanied by special forces, conducted a search at the residence of one of the Bureau’s employees.
According to NABU, physical force was used against the employee during the search, although no notice of suspicion had been issued. The search reportedly took place without a court warrant and was likely connected to the employee’s professional duties.
The Bureau stated that this staff member has been involved in documenting several corruption cases and has always acted strictly within the law of Ukraine.
NABU also said that, based on available information, the employee had been under covert surveillance prior to the search. The circumstances of the incident and the individuals involved are currently being established.
