Google co-founder Larry Page rose to third place on Forbes’ list of the world’s richest people, surpassing Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. His capital grew amid a sharp rise in the value of Alphabet shares, which added more than 30% over the year.
According to Forbes, Larry Page’s fortune is estimated at $241.7 billion, allowing him to surpass Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who has $232.7 billion.
Larry Page’s capital growth is linked to a sharp rise in Alphabet’s share price in 2025. According to MarketWatch, the company’s shares have risen by about 33% since the beginning of the year, becoming one of the strongest among the largest tech giants. Reuters reports that Alphabet has reached a market capitalization of over $3 trillion amid positive expectations for the development of artificial intelligence and favorable decisions by US regulators.
According to IBTimes estimates, Larry Page’s fortune has grown by more than $7.6 billion solely due to the growth of Alphabet shares.
Only two people are ahead of him in the Forbes ranking: Elon Musk, with a fortune of $467.2 billion, and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, whose capital is $267.5 billion. In fifth place is another Google co-founder, Sergey Brin, with $224.2 billion.
The sixth position on the list is held by Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, whose fortune is estimated at $201.7 billion.
