Ukrainian defence forces are holding back Russian offensive along the entire frontline. As of 16:00 on 1 June, the number of combat engagements totalled 83, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The most intense fighting continues in the Pokrovske sector – 28 enemy attacks were registered, 25 of which were repelled. Fighting continues near Popove Yar, Myroliubivka, Malynivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Novosergiivka, Novomykolaivka and Andriivka. The enemy launched an air strike on Myrnohrad.
The situation is also difficult in the Liman, Kupyansk, Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Novopavlivka sectors, where numerous Russian attacks continue, in particular in the areas of Hrekivka, Yampol, Novoselivka, Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Vilne Pole and Kostiantynopil.
The occupiers also carry out air strikes, in particular, on Zaliznychne (in the Huliaipole sector), Novoyakovlivka (in the Orikhiv sector) and Olhivka (in the Prydniprovsky sector). In the Kursk sector, 12 firefights, 106 artillery attacks and two air strikes were registered.
Despite the pressure, Ukrainian troops are holding the line and inflicting losses on the enemy.
