Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sharply reacted to Russian strikes on passenger buses in Odesa, residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia and a hospital in the Kharkiv region. He stressed the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia and increase defense support for Ukraine.

This was stated in a Telegram post by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

On the night of July 12-13, Russian forces once again attacked exclusively civilian facilities.

“Today, the Russians once again ‘defeated’ entirely civilian facilities — ordinary passenger buses in Odesa, ordinary residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia, an ordinary hospital in the Kharkiv region,” the president wrote.

According to him, every day of Russia’s war against life proves that supporting Ukraine is right from a defense, political and human perspective.

“The Russian leadership has gone mad because of the war and is completely irrationally refusing to end it,” he said.

The president added that pressure on Russia must work. This includes new sanctions against the aggressor, new support packages for Ukraine and projects, including the European anti-ballistic project FREYJA.

Zelenskyy also announced upcoming meetings and negotiations aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense.
