Today, October 27, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters. The main topic was Ukraine’s capabilities for long-range sanctions against Russia. Weapons manufacturers and those responsible for their use were also present.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on social media.

“We analyzed the effectiveness of our long-range strikes over a certain period and the results achieved. Russian oil refining is already paying a heavy price for the war and will pay even more. We have set tasks to expand the geography of our long-range strikes,” the president wrote.

Work is continuing with weapons manufacturers on long-term contracts. According to Zelenskyy, the three-year term allows manufacturers to better plan the use of necessary resources and scale up supplies to the military. The number of such contracts is also planned to be increased.

There were also reports at the headquarters about Russian strikes against Ukraine’s infrastructure and energy facilities.

“We have identified new protection needs and tasks for working with partners on specific areas of air defense supply. Our partners have the necessary systems, and it is important for Ukrainian diplomacy to be more active in preparing appropriate decisions,” Zelenskyy concluded.
