Russian troops have again attacked civilian ships near Ukrainian ports. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, an enemy drone struck a tanker flying the Panamanian flag, which was waiting to enter the port to load vegetable oil. One of the crew members was injured as a result of the strike. He is receiving the necessary medical assistance. A fire broke out on board the ship, and maritime rescue services are working at the scene.

In addition, a Russian drone attacked a ship flying the flag of San Marino, which was leaving the port with a cargo of corn. In this case, there were no casualties, and the ship continues on its route.

Oleksiy Kuleba stressed that these attacks are further proof that Russia is deliberately targeting civilian vessels, international trade and maritime safety.

He also emphasised that despite constant terror from the aggressor, Ukraine continues to operate its ports and fulfil its international obligations.
