President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced on social media that he had heard a detailed report from the negotiating team on communications with the American side. According to him, the parties discussed the work schedule for the next two weeks, including upcoming meetings, preparation of documents and their possible signing.

The head of state instructed to finalise and submit for consideration at the highest level a document on security guarantees for Ukraine from the United States. Zelensky emphasised that this is a document of historic significance, and, according to him, the text has already reached this level.

Documents on the reconstruction and economic development of Ukraine were also discussed. The President instructed Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka and Minister Oleksiy Sobolev to ensure full support and expertise in all economic aspects of future bilateral agreements between Ukraine and the United States, as well as trilateral agreements in the Ukraine-Europe-America format. The parameters for the mechanisms for using the funds for reconstruction that will be received from partners were determined separately.

Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian side is aware of the US’s contacts with Russia regarding the basic political framework for ending the war. According to him, Ukraine has formulated its own vision and expects a clear response from Russia regarding its readiness to end the war on realistic terms. In the absence of such readiness, the president stressed, pressure on the aggressor must be increased.

The president also stated the need to expand pressure tactics, particularly regarding shadow fleet tankers and financial schemes to circumvent sanctions, and to apply similar approaches to Russia. According to him, if Moscow chooses the path of war, the world’s response should be to maximally restrict Russian export revenues.

In conclusion, Zelenskyy thanked international partners for their support of Ukraine and their efforts to protect lives, emphasising the importance of maintaining the diplomatic track.
