        Deep strike units showed how they destroyed Lukoil drilling platforms in the Caspian Sea

        On the night of January 11, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces struck three drilling platforms in the Caspian Sea. The platforms were used to supply fuel to enemy forces.

        This was reported by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

        On the night of January 11, 2026, SOF “deep strike” units carried out strikes against drilling platforms operated by Lukoil in the Caspian Sea.

        Among the targets hit were ice-resistant fixed platforms named after V. Filanovsky, Yuri Korchagin, and Valery Grayfer. The platforms were reportedly used to supply fuel to enemy forces.

        The SOF stated that Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces continue to conduct asymmetric actions aimed at strategically exhausting the enemy’s ability to wage war against Ukraine.
