According to the manufacturer, the contract for the delivery of the first batch of IFVs was signed in December 2025. The cost of the five vehicles is in the double-digit millions of euros, and the German government will cover the payment.

The combat vehicles will be equipped with a two-seater Lance turret and specially configured to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Rheinmetall noted that the next step could be the purchase of additional batches of Lynx KF41s, as well as the organization of their production in Ukraine.

        Lynx KF41 APC: specifications

The Lynx KF41 is a new-generation tracked infantry fighting vehicle with a modular design that allows it to be adapted to various combat tasks. The vehicle is equipped with active, passive, and reactive protection systems against rocket-propelled grenades and anti-tank guided missiles.

The APC has a Lance 2.0 turret, designed to increase the survivability of key systems during close combat. Its armament includes a 35 mm automatic cannon with the possibility of integrating additional systems, in particular anti-tank guided missiles, blind-fire munitions, electronic warfare equipment, or unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Lynx KF41 is designed for a crew of three and can carry up to eight soldiers. The vehicle weighs about 44 tons, making it larger than the basic versions of infantry fighting vehicles.
