Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the current days are among the most active diplomatically this year and that decisions on the war could be taken before the New Year.
According to him, outcomes depend on Ukraine’s partners — those who support Ukraine and those who exert pressure on Russia so it feels the consequences of its aggression. Zelenskyy said that in just one week Russia launched more than 2,100 attack drones, about 800 guided aerial bombs, and 94 missiles of various types, targeting civilians and critical energy infrastructure.
The president noted that repair crews, energy workers and rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are working around the clock to restore power supplies and protect lives. He stressed the importance of sanctions against Russia, political pressure for its aggression, the supply of air defense missiles to Ukraine, and finalizing steps to end the war and guarantee security, adding that these issues will be discussed with partners today.
