President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the record-breaking attack by Russian drones on Ukraine on the night of November 26. He said that such strikes are only possible because Russia circumvents international sanctions. According to the president, each of the drones used by Russia to attack Ukrainian territory contains 85 foreign components.
The head of state wrote about this on Telegram.
“Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine, launching a record number of attack drones – 188. I thank our defenders of the sky for their work: about 80 drones were shot down, and more than 90 were destroyed on the ground. However, there is damage to critical infrastructure, including the difficult situation in Ternopil. All services and repair teams are working on the spot to help people. We are doing everything possible to restore power supply as soon as possible,” Zelenskyy said.
The President emphasized that each of these drones contains 85 foreign parts.
“Each of them contains almost 16,000 components, without which these drones would not be able to fly. Such attacks became possible only because Russia circumvents sanctions through various schemes. We thank everyone in the world who blocks such supplies, but we need more joint efforts to make sanctions effective and force Russia to stop this war. We have to stop Russian aggression,” he added.
