Ukraine has transferred 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria as part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“As promised, we are supporting the Syrian people in their time of need,” the President said.
The aid is expected to reach 167,000 people from 33,250 Syrian families in the coming weeks. Each package of flour weighs 15 kilograms and can feed a family of five for a month.
“We wish Syria and its people safety, stability, and recovery. We know the true value of these things,” Zelensky said.
