With the onset of cold weather, caring fighters of the DIU’s Special Forces “Timur” conducted a unique operation – evacuation of 15 cats and kittens from the legendary Zmiinyi Island.
The animals, who lived in difficult conditions on the island, will now have a chance for a better life on the “big land,” according to military intelligence.
The cats were taken to one of the largest Ukrainian animal shelters, Sirius, located near Kyiv.
After the animals’ adaptation in the shelter is completed, anyone will be able to adopt one of the “snake” cats or take custody of them. The Sirius shelter will provide the necessary support to those who want to give these special animals a home.
