Ukraine has captured an enemy position for the first time during the war without the involvement of infantry — using only drones and ground robotic systems. The operation was carried out without losses on the Ukrainian side.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an address marking the Day of the Ukrainian Arms Maker. According to him, the occupying forces surrendered after the operation conducted by unmanned platforms.

The president noted that robotic systems are becoming a key element of modern warfare and help save soldiers’ lives. In just three months, Ukrainian ground robotic systems have carried out more than 22,000 combat missions on the front line.

Zelenskyy cited examples of such systems, including Ratel, Termit, Ardal, Rys, Zmiy, Protector, and Volia. According to him, each mission means that a machine goes into dangerous areas instead of a human.

The head of state stressed that the development of robotic technologies is part of a broader transformation of Ukraine’s defense industry. At the same time, the country is actively expanding production of drones, artillery, ammunition, and missiles.

Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine already has long-range capabilities, including drones capable of operating at distances of up to 1,750 kilometers.

According to him, Ukraine’s experience in military technologies is attracting global interest, and the country is gradually becoming one of the leaders in the development of security solutions.
