Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said representatives of the US president are expected to visit Kyiv for talks in the coming days. According to him, the American side has also confirmed a planned meeting in Moscow.
Zelensky said this after holding a meeting with the Ukrainian team responsible for negotiations with representatives of the US president.
According to the Ukrainian leader, Kyiv is in constant communication with the American representatives and is already preparing for the upcoming meetings.
“We are in communication with them virtually 24/7 and are now preparing for the meetings. There are preliminary dates,” Zelensky said.
The president said Kyiv expects the representatives of the US president to arrive in the coming days.
“We have confirmation from them: there will be a meeting in Moscow and in Kyiv. We expect the meeting to take place in the coming days,” he said.
Zelensky stressed that it is important for Ukraine that the United States remains actively involved in the negotiating process.
“We are ready for meetings with them in Ukraine — at the appropriate level and with substantive discussions,” the president added.
