        Spain has announced a new €1 billion military aid package for Ukraine

        In 2026, Spain will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth €1 billion. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez also assured that Ukraine can count on support both in the defense sector and in the country’s reconstruction process.

        Pedro Sánchez made these remarks during a press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

        According to the Spanish Prime Minister, the amount of support for Ukraine in 2026 will total €1 billion. In total, Spain’s aid to Ukraine during the war has already reached €4 billion.

        Sánchez noted that part of the aid involves joint production of defense equipment.

        He also announced that Spain has recently begun funding the SAFE program, which is intended to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in 2026.

        “Spain will always help Ukraine. We will not forget who is behind this unjust and brutal war,” Sánchez concluded.
