On the night of November 29, police and riot police used water cannon and tear gas to disperse protesters who gathered near the Georgian parliament building in Tbilisi.
It is noted that before the dispersal, there were clashes between law enforcement officers and protesters that lasted several hours. According to the information, the police used pepper gas, and the demonstrators threw eggs and other objects at the police.
The protest near the Georgian parliament began in the evening of November 28 after the country’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced the termination of negotiations on the country’s accession to the European Union by the end of 2028.
