Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, together with Norwegian Armed Forces Chief General Eirik Kristoffersen, visited Ukrainian combat units on the southern front. During the visit, the sides discussed the battlefield situation and Ukraine’s military needs.

Syrskyi announced the visit on social media.
According to him, the delegation visited military command centers as well as airborne assault and assault units carrying out combat missions against Russian forces in the Southern Operational Zone.
Syrskyi said Norway remains one of Ukraine’s “most consistent and dedicated allies” during the full-scale war.
He noted that Oslo continues to provide military assistance, including air defense systems, drones and ammunition.
During the visit, General Eirik Kristoffersen personally reviewed the operational situation on the front line and the performance of existing weapons systems.
The sides also discussed the urgent needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for military equipment, ammunition and further expansion of cooperation between Ukraine and Norway.
“We continue working to bring peace closer in Ukraine and strengthen the security of democratic Europe,” Syrskyi said.
