On the night of January 27, Odesa was subjected to a massive attack by strike drones. Residential buildings, social facilities, and infrastructure were damaged, and there were casualties among the civilian population.
This was reported by the head of the Odessa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.
As a result of the night attack by the Russian Federation in Odessa, infrastructure facilities, apartment buildings, private houses, and a construction site were damaged.
The strikes caused large-scale fires. In the center of Odesa, a church building was damaged, and a kindergarten was also affected. Employees of the State Emergency Service rescued people from blocked premises, including a child. A significant number of residents were evacuated.
The most difficult situation arose at one of the locations in the Khadzhibey district, where part of a residential building was destroyed. According to preliminary data, there may be people under the rubble. Search and rescue operations are continuing non-stop.
As of 7 a.m., 22 people are known to have been affected by the night attack. Fourteen of them suffered minor injuries and were treated on site.
All emergency services have been working at the sites of the strikes since nightfall. Operational headquarters have been set up, and the victims are being provided with the necessary assistance.
