On the night of 7 December 2024, the enemy launched a missile strike in Sumy region and carried out a large-scale attack with the help of attack drones.
According to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from 21:30 on 6 December, Russian troops launched 14 Shahed kamikaze drones and other types of drones from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).
As of 08:30, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces destroyed 7 enemy drones. The shootdowns were recorded in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions.
Another 6 drones were lost in the area, and one left the controlled airspace in the direction of Russia.
