        Lithuania to provide Ukraine with nearly 100 generators for cities and communities

        Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the results of his meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda. The talks focused on support for Ukraine’s energy system, defense cooperation and diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace.

        According to Zelenskyy, during the meeting he informed the Lithuanian president about Russia’s daily attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, as well as Ukraine’s needs to strengthen energy resilience and air defense. He thanked Lithuania for its support, noting that the country has already decided to assist Ukrainian cities and communities by providing nearly 100 generators.

        The sides also discussed military cooperation, joint defense projects and Lithuania’s proposal to open a weapons export platform in Vilnius. Support for the PURL initiative and cooperation within the SAFE program were also on the agenda.

        Diplomacy was among the key issues of the talks as well. Zelenskyy shared the latest details of diplomatic efforts for peace, including meetings of the Ukrainian, American and Russian delegations in Abu Dhabi, stressing that Ukraine continues to do everything possible to end the war.
