This was reported by French President Emmanuel Macron on X.

The vessel involved was the Tagor. According to Macron, the operation was conducted on the morning of May 31 in the Atlantic Ocean on the high seas with the support of several partners, including the United Kingdom. “It is unacceptable that vessels circumvent international sanctions, violate maritime law and finance the war that Russia has been waging against Ukraine for more than four years,” Macron wrote.

Macron also noted that such vessels, which do not comply with the most basic rules of maritime navigation, pose a threat to the environment and the safety of all maritime traffic participants.
