Foreign Ministers of the EU’s “Big Five” and the UK meet in Warsaw

A meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU’s “Big Five” countries (Poland, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain) and the United Kingdom is taking place in Warsaw.

The talks, joined by the future EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, are discussing key issues of the geopolitical situation in Europe, support for Ukraine, defense issues, and transatlantic cooperation, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

On the air of RMF.FM, the Polish Foreign Minister said on Tuesday that “the most important issues” would be raised during this meeting. “In particular, we will talk about the readiness of the largest EU countries to find funding for the purchase of ammunition, investing in the Ukrainian defense sector and providing Ukraine with additional military equipment to strengthen its negotiating position next year, when the Russian economy begins to decline,” Sikorski emphasized.
