On the night of 11 January 2025, Russian troops launched a massive attack with 74 Shahed attack drones and other imitation drones. The attack took place from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Scale of the attack and defence
According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, the air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force.
As of 09:00, 47 Shahed attack drones and other drones were destroyed in 11 regions: Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Kherson and Mykolaiv.
Consequences of the attack
The downed drones damaged commercial buildings, institutions, private homes and vehicles in seven regions. Preliminary, there were no casualties. The damage is being repaired and the victims are being provided with assistance.
In addition, 27 enemy imitator UAVs were lost in the area, which did not cause any negative consequences.
