        Russian missile strike on Pryluky kills 22, including five children

        Search-and-rescue operations at the site of the Russian missile strike on Pryluky in Chernihiv region on October 7 continued throughout the night. As of the morning of October 8, the deaths of 22 people had been confirmed, including five children.

        The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this.

        According to rescuers, 54 people were injured. Seven children were among those hurt.

        During the rescue operation, emergency workers managed to save 15 people, including one child.

        Rescuers continue to clear the rubble and dismantle destroyed structures.

        As a reminder, on the morning of October 7, Russian forces attacked Pryluky in Chernihiv region with cruise missiles. The strike destroyed two entrances of an apartment building and damaged other residential buildings, a children and youth creativity centre, a business and vehicles.
