On the night of 19 January 2025, Russian troops launched a massive attack with 61 Shahed-type attack drones and other imitators from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk and Orel. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
The air attack was repelled thanks to the coordinated work of aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:00, 43 attack UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in a number of regions of Ukraine: Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipro and Mykolaiv regions.
Another 15 enemy imitator drones were lost without any negative consequences. Work with one drone in the air is ongoing.
