At the Awe Dropping presentation, Apple officially announced AirPods Pro 3 – the third generation of its premium noise-canceling wireless headphones. The new product received an updated design, a new H3 chip and a number of features that were not previously available in the series.
The AirPods Pro 3 are smaller and lighter, and the improved shape locks into the ear better, which is especially important during workouts. The charging case has also been redesigned to be more compact, with a capacitive touch button instead of a physical one, and a hidden LED indicator that glows only when in use.
For the convenience of users, Apple has added five sizes of silicone tips, and the headphones and their case now have IP54 dust and moisture protection. This makes the AirPods Pro more resistant to daily use and heavy use.
The new H3 chip provides better sound quality, improved spatial audio and support for future updates via software. Active noise cancellation is now more effective than the previous model, with an adaptive mode that automatically adjusts the level of noise blocking depending on the environment.
Other new features include Voice Isolation for clear calls even in noisy places, hands-free Siri control, and new air gestures. For the first time in AirPods there is a heart rate sensor that synchronizes with Apple Watch, as well as a temperature sensor in the ear canal – this feature is not yet officially confirmed.
Another important addition is the Live Translation mode, which works with iOS 26. Thanks to it, users will be able to receive real-time translation of conversations right in the headphones.
AirPods Pro 3 work up to eight hours without charging and support the new Apple Intelligence features. The price remains the same as the previous generation – $249, although markets like Amazon or Best Buy are expected to lower the price to $199-229 after the launch.
