President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in his evening address that he has ordered an increase in funding for military corps operating on key frontlines, particularly in the Donetsk region. The statement was published on the official website of the President’s Office.

The Head of State visited the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, including the Pokrovsk sector, where he met with units defending the area — National Guard corps, Air Assault Forces, and the Drone Systems Forces. Zelenskyy met with commanders and soldiers defending Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Dobropillia, and presented state awards to distinguished service members.

“I have instructed to increase funding for the corps on key directions and discussed it with the command. The largest portion of funding now goes toward drone production — the foundation of our modern army. We are also simplifying procedures so that units can more easily acquire and produce what they need,” the President said.

He added that drones remain a top priority in army supply and emphasized the need to increase the number of crews and accelerate the delivery of equipment.

Zelenskyy noted that Russian forces have once again been forced to delay their planned advances toward Pokrovsk and Dobropillia, and that every Russian loss in these areas strengthens Ukraine’s defense.

The President also highlighted the latest European Commission report, which recognized Ukraine’s best results in three years on its path to EU membership. “Ukraine is doing everything to secure EU membership even amid war. We are ready to open negotiation clusters — all that’s needed now is a European decision,” Zelenskyy stressed.
